Fluffball!

Invented a new game, much to the amusement of both my kids. Take the fluff from the filter of a tumble drier and compact it into snowball shape. Throw it at randomly selected object. Should fluffball stick you instantly win 5 points. Should fluffball not stick, you loose 5 points, and have to tidy it up without sneezing.

Toddler thinks its grey snow. I have tried to make the fluff non grey, but alas, even the fluff from a completely red load comes out, yes you guessed it, accountant grey.

Talking of exotic plants

Yes, it is a cannabis plant. Beata has opium growing. Between us we should be able to keep the kids in nappies, me thinks.

A no makeup look

costs about £27 apparently, according to a fashion magazine I glanced through.

Ode to the man who washed my car

I know you asked for a fair price to wash the car. I am sorry, haggling is in my blood, I could not help it. I genuinely did not realise I only had coins left. I know £8, weighs a lot in change. I know you worked hard on cleaning the car, the smear stains on the windows are evidence of that. So are the hand prints on the bodywork. I forgot to go to the cash machine, therefore, your tip was 2 euros. One of which had a boiled sweet stuck to it. Dont grumble, who else gives you exotic currency (sort of) and dessert with your tip? I know the drill, next time you see me, dont make eyecontact and drive off in the opposite direction.....

Language Confusion no more

Have started speaking Hungarian to the boy full time now. The only time English is used is when I cannot think of a Hungarian telling off word for him. My efforts are paying off as he is coming on in leaps and bounds. I told him "mond a papinak hogy szia". He turned to his father and said "bye bye Daddy", 10.0 for the boy.

A fishy tail

The new room supervisor started in monsters room the other day. My introduction to her was in the corridor, she came booming up behind me saying ..."and you must be...." I instantly liked her. The only slight problem (for me) is that she has obviously removed the piercing from the corner of her mouth, for work reasons. The cover shield thats on there, from certain angles, makes it look like she has a fishes tail hanging out of her mouth. I tried hard not to stare.

Tell the boy to say hello and give Sarah a wave. He looks at me then looks at her. I am nervously praying he does not say the word fish in English, or the ground will have to swallow me up. He opens his mouth and hello comes out. He then backs away from her. My mind is then filled with fish related words. I vaguely remember asking how she is settling in, I hope I did not mention feeling like a fish out of water or whether she is assessing the scale of the job to be done. Sarah is lovely though, got a really good feeling for her, she also gave me a receipe for super soft playdough, so she is top notch in my book!
